By using this website or handing over a device to Data Recovery Mumbai for diagnosis or recovery, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use our services. These terms apply together with our Privacy Policy.

We provide data recovery services for hard disks, SSDs, RAID/NAS/servers, laptops, memory cards, pen drives, mobile phones and related media, as well as data migration and similar technical services. Information on this website is for general guidance only and does not form part of a contract.

• Every device first goes through a diagnosis to identify the fault and the chances of recovery.
• After diagnosis we give you a quotation and an estimated time-frame. Recovery work starts only after you approve the quotation.
• Quotations are based on the condition found at diagnosis. If a hidden fault is found during work (for example additional damage), we will inform you and get your approval before any change in cost.
• Time-frames are estimates. Complex physical or firmware cases, or waiting for donor parts, can take longer.

Data recovery depends on the physical and logical condition of the media. Although our engineers use professional tools and a clean-room environment, we cannot guarantee that all or any data will be recovered, or that recovered files will be complete or usable.

Our policy is “No data, no charge” for recovery fees: if we are unable to recover the data you need, you are not charged for the recovery itself. Charges agreed in advance for emergency/priority service, donor parts specifically purchased for your case, or new delivery media may still apply — these will always be explained in the quotation.

• You confirm that you are the owner of the device and the data, or are authorised by the owner to request recovery.
• You must not ask us to recover data that is illegal to possess. We may refuse or stop work and inform the authorities if required by law.
• Please tell us about any previous repair attempts, software used or physical damage, as this affects recovery.
• Stop using a failed device and do not open it yourself — further use can make recovery impossible.
• Provide a list of the most important files/folders so we can prioritise and verify them.

• Diagnosis and recovery may require opening the device in our clean room, replacing parts or working on the circuit board. Devices are generally not usable as normal storage after physical recovery.
• Recovery is carried out on copies (images) of your media wherever possible, to avoid further damage to the original.
• Your original media is returned to you after the job, together with the recovered data on new or provided media.
• Please collect your device and data within 30 days of being informed that the job is complete or that recovery was not possible. After 60 days of non-collection and reasonable reminders, we may securely dispose of the media and any copies.

Before delivery you can check the recovered files at our lab or through a file list we share. Please verify your important files at the time of delivery. We keep a working copy for a short period afterwards so that we can help if there is a problem, and then delete it securely.

• Payment is due on delivery of the recovered data unless agreed otherwise in writing.
• Prices quoted include or exclude GST as stated on the quotation and invoice.
• Delivery media (external drive, pen drive) is charged separately unless you provide your own.
• Recovered data is released only after full payment.

We treat all customer data as strictly confidential and handle it as described in our Privacy Policy. A signed Non-Disclosure Agreement can be provided on request for corporate and sensitive cases.

To the maximum extent permitted by law:

• We are not responsible for data loss or damage that existed before the device reached us, or that results from the original failure.
• We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses such as loss of business, profits or opportunity.
• Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us for the service in question.

We always recommend keeping regular backups of important data.

• Content, images, illustrations and text on this website belong to Data Recovery Mumbai and may not be copied without permission.
• Brand names and logos mentioned belong to their respective owners. We are an independent service provider and are not affiliated with any manufacturer.
• You must not misuse our forms, attempt to break website security or send spam.

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Mumbai, Maharashtra. We encourage you to contact us first at kishore@datarecoverymumbai.co.in — most issues can be solved quickly by talking to us.
