Privacy Policy

This website is operated by Data Recovery Mumbai, a data recovery service provider located at 42/44, Walker House, Tribhuvan Rd., Lamington Rd., Grant Rd., Mumbai – 400007, Maharashtra, India. In this policy, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Data Recovery Mumbai; “you” refers to any visitor or customer.

This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website and our services, why we collect it, and how we keep it safe. It is written to follow the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 of India.

We only collect information that we need to help you. This includes:

• Contact details you enter in our forms — name, mobile number, email address and city.
• Device and problem details — type of storage device, brand, capacity and a description of the problem.
• Job application details — CV/résumé, experience and other information you choose to share on our Careers page.
• Technical information — IP address, browser type and pages visited, collected automatically to keep the website secure and working well.

We do not ask for, and you should not send us, passwords to online accounts, bank details or card numbers through this website.

When you give us a hard disk, SSD, memory card, phone, server or any other media for recovery, we treat everything stored on it as strictly confidential.

• Files are accessed only to the extent needed to diagnose the device, recover data and verify the result with you.
• We never share, copy, sell or publish your files, and we do not use them for any other purpose.
• Access inside our lab is limited to the engineers handling your case.
• A working copy of recovered data is kept only for a short period after delivery so we can help if there is a problem, and is then securely deleted. You can ask us to delete it immediately after you receive your data.
• If you need a signed Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) for corporate or sensitive data, ask us before handing over the device.

• To reply to your enquiry, give a diagnosis and quotation, and carry out the recovery work you approve.
• To call, message (including WhatsApp) or email you about your case, pickup and delivery.
• To prepare invoices and keep records required by law.
• To review job applications and contact candidates.
• To improve our website and protect it against spam and misuse.

We do not send promotional messages unless you have asked to receive them, and you can opt out at any time.

We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share it only when necessary:

• With courier or pickup partners, to collect and return your device (name, phone and address only).
• With trusted service providers who host our website, email and job-tracking system, under confidentiality obligations.
• When required by law, court order or a government authority with legal power to ask for it.

Our website uses a small number of cookies that are needed for it to work — for example to keep forms secure. Some pages include content from third parties:

• Google Maps — to show our location.
• YouTube — to play customer review videos (loaded in privacy-enhanced mode only when you press play).
• Analytics — if enabled, to understand how visitors use the site in an aggregated way.

These services may set their own cookies under their own privacy policies. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the website will still work.

• Secure connection (HTTPS) and protected forms with spam and abuse checks.
• Restricted access to customer records and enquiry data, limited to authorised staff.
• Physical security for devices kept in our lab, with job records for every device received.

No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, but we take reasonable and appropriate steps to protect your information.

Enquiry and contact details are kept for as long as needed to handle your request and for a reasonable time afterwards for follow-up. Invoices and tax records are kept for the period required by law. Job applications are kept for up to 12 months unless you ask us to delete them earlier.

You can ask us at any time to:

• See the personal information we hold about you.
• Correct or update incorrect information.
• Delete your information, where we are not required by law to keep it.
• Withdraw consent for being contacted.

To make a request, email kishore@datarecoverymumbai.co.in or call +91 98331 51550. We will respond within a reasonable time.

Our services are meant for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us on your behalf.

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when it was last changed. Continued use of our website after an update means you accept the revised policy.
