DATA RECOVERY MUMBAI Recovers from physical and logical damage due to mechanical and electrical failure, software corruption or human error.

  • Computer won’t boot
  • Inaccessible drives and partitions
  • Applications that are unable to run or load data
  • Corrupted data, virus
  • Hard disk component failure (Clicking noise, HD not spinning)
  • Hard disk crashes
  • Fire & water damage
  • Media surface contamination and damage
  • Accidental reformatting of partitions
  • Accidental deletion of data

Each recovery case begins with a free diagnostic to determine the potential for recovery and to provide a firm price-quote for your review. The initial diagnosis determines whether the media is accessible to our lab equipment. If the media is inaccessible our lab will test the components and closely examine its internal health to determine the extent of physical damage.

Recovery of crashed hard disks often involves replacing failed or damaged components in a clean environment (Clean room class 100) and using specialized hardware and software tools to create the raw image. Failed components typically include electronics, read/write heads, head assemblies, magnets & drive motors.

Logical recovery uses the raw image by examining the low-level data sectors and determining what fixes to file system structures are needed to get access to the important data. Sometimes the existing file system structures are missing or damaged so much that data has to be extracted directly from one or more fragments of the raw image.

Once a recovery has been successfully performed, file lists are created and data validity and integrity is checked.

The recovery results will be submitted to the customer, as part of our verification of a successful recovery process.

Laptop hard drives fail tend to fail more regularly as they are moved around more often than PC hard drives.

Ordinary causes of laptop hard drive failure are:

The Laptop has been dropped – if the laptop is running when it is dropped it can causes the read heads inside the drive to crash into the platters, even a drop of a few cm can cause this to happen.

Drive failure due to age – Laptop Hard drives spin at 5200 rpm, eventually with all moving parts they will wear out.

Electronic failure – This is less common, but the components on the small pcb on the hard drive can fail, there are also firmware problems associated with certain hard drive models that cause them to stop working without any warning.

Corruption – As drive sizes have increased over the years there is error correction going on constantly inside the drive,

Heat related – If a fan has failed or it is a badly designed poorly ventilated laptop this can shorten the life of the hard drive.

Other problems are laptops that have had a Lab usually to fix problems when the laptop is not running properly, this overwrites the system partition with a factory image (as it it was when you first bought the laptop) unfortunately this generally overwrites a lot of files. We can recover data in this case as long as the files you need haven’t been overwritten. Just switch off the laptop and call us on 9833151550.
